Captain: Carlos Castelao Molares

Nationality: Spanish
Languages: Spanish, English

Captivated by the sea, Charly started sailing at a very young age. Following his dreams, he obtained a degree in Nautical Science and Maritime Transport. Over the past five years he took part in sailing races and worked on a variety of charter yachts, including Sunreef Yachts catamarans, learning a great deal about yacht maintenance and working his way through to eventually become the captain of CALMA.

Charlie has a thorough understanding of life at the sea and has got a great sailing portfolio including Transatlantic crossings as well as extensive sailing in different parts of the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. His hobbies include kitesurfing and other water sports, travelling, design, motorbike restoration, drone filming and photography. Competent, friendly and enthusiastic, he is happy to share all his varied knowledge with guests, which makes every charter trip unique, fun and interesting.
