About Emile:
Sailing small dinghies since he was 8 years old, Emile never lost his interest for sailing ever since. As a consequence, he became a sailing instructor for over 10 years at the Belgian coast. So intrigued by the sea, he started his study as Master in Nautical Sciences at the Antwerp Maritime Academy in 2004, where he graduated in 2008. He worked at sea on big gas carriers, dredging ships, and rock-dumping vessels for 8 years, while spending all his spare time on sailing dinghies and yachts. He was also a regular in the sailing competition scene in Knokke at the Belgian coast. Next to that, he cruised on various yachts all over the Mediterranean, the North Sea, and the Atlantic Ocean. He loves to share his passion and knowledge about the seas and sailing with all guests with a keen interest, and understands perfectly the fine balance between hospitality and discreetness.

About Nico:

Nico , was born and raised in Mallorca and has been in contact with the sea and nature his entire life.
After he finished school he decided he wanted to work professionally on boats and obtained all required certificates to follow his passion. His first job at sea was driving a powerful wakeboarding boat at a wakeboarding school in Mallorca. There he gradually improved his wakeboarding skills until he became an experienced wakeboarding instructor.
During his childhood, he gained knowledge about sailing with his father’s sailing boat, cruising around the Balearics and Sardinia. Always up for an adventure, Nico decided to join Vintage I to cross from the Caribbean back to Europe. After this magical month at sea, he found his place and decided to stay on Vintage I. He is full of energy and looks forward to make the guests on board enjoy life at sea as much as he does!

About Teresa

Teresa was born and raised in the Island of Mallorca, always to be found at sea, either surfing, diving or sailing.
After she finished her studies she joined boats to travel and thrive through her sailing skills: at the age of 19 adventure called, and she decided to backpack around Australia, Asia and Centro America for two years. She finalized her trip by crossing the Atlantic back to Europe where she rejoined her career on boats.
During her travels, she volunteered in some NGO’s helping to build schools and educate on plastic pollution. She also gained interest in cooking and cuisine - travelling worldwide she gained knowledge in different styles, techniques and endemic flavors. Back in Mallorca she joined the galley club and professionalized her cooking with a Chef course. With these broad experience she is confident she can cater to any guest’s requests.
Teresa loves children and is proactive towards a more ecofriendly lifestyle on boats. Always ready to help out guests and crew with a big smile that represents her young and bobbly personality, trying to make your stay on Vintage I unforgettable!
