Yacht Accomodations

Plan B began her life as a work horse, and carries that work horse nature into today. Although shes transformed into an elegant lady, she was originally a research vessel for the Australian Navy. Charged with mapping the great barrier reef and the waters of Australias coast, Plan B's hull was originally launched in 1973 as HMAS Flinders. Named for the famous explorer Matthew Flinders, this boat has always had exploration in her soul. As a survey ship, one of the beauties of that heritage was the hull had to be very quiet, and you wont find a quieter hull. In the past six years since the completion of its refit, Plan B has circumnavigated the globe three times and taken its guests to some of the most unreachable corners of the ocean in comfort and safety.

The interior transformation has brought Plan B from a rugged ship to a modernized, urban decor inspired world cruising yacht with an exterior featuring the most beautiful polynesian and cultural accent pieces throughout. The Master suite is located on Deck 3, one deck above the Main deck forward, with a forward facing super-King size bed. A full desk and sofa are complemented on each side of the bed and private his/ her bathrooms with an adjoining shower are ensuite. On Deck 2, the Main deck, are four staterooms with perfect versatility in arrangement for families with children or couples. Each can be situated as Queen size beds or convert the two aft staterooms to Twin staterooms. The forward most staterooms also include bunk style pullmans (2 in each). All are ensuite with bathrooms; two include tub and stall showers while the other two have showers only. Deck 1, below deck, is for crew.

The Main exterior deck aft is primarily a working deck. Guests are received best to port or starboard entrances. Upon entering this level, there is an intimate, yet ample sized U-shaped dining area to port and full lounge with wide screen TV to starboard. Above to Deck 3, is the Great Room, aft of the Master and divided by the central spiral staircase, featuring port and starboard sofa seating and a game table further aft to port. No matter where you are in the world, the wall clocks will help you gauge your time zone with select regions chosen for keeping in touch.

Re-designed for true enjoyment of the outdoors, the exterior guest areas overflow onto each other and truly capture the special nature of being aboard a yacht while cruising or at anchor. On Deck 3, aft of the Great Room is the largest deck area for dining, social gathering, evening 'cinema at sea', cocktails at the portside bar or just relaxing on the full beam sunbed farthest aft. Up a level to Deck 4 (Bridgedeck), overlooking the main aft deck is another jewel of an indoor/outdoor space. Perfect for when the weather turns ugly, yet you still want the feeling of being outside. Protected on three sides by sliding glass doors, this area is at once a comfortable living space, working space, dining space, and recreation space. This deck includes; a large sitting area with a comfortable couch and chairs, an extendable dining table from 4 to 14, and an aft banquette that morphs from perfect spot for sunset cocktails into a cozy dinner for 8 and then again to the best seat in the house for the outdoor movie theater. Next up is the Jacuzzi Deck on Deck 5, forward of the gym. A stainless steel version is centered between two sun beds with the most amazing panoramic view forward. Feel like sleeping under the stars?, Just ask and the crew will convert one of the sun lounges into a king size bed complete with 1000 thread count sheets and non allergic down pillows. Who could ask for more?!

Since then she has amassed a wealth of experience on some of the finest yachts in and around the Mediterranean. With a love of meeting new people and guest service, he decided to join yachting as part of the PLAN B crew. Aside from his passion for the sea, he is an equally passionate and talented photographer
