Crew Profile

Raphael (Raph) has been dinghy sailing since he was very young although it wasn't until 2012 that he managed to escape dreary London city life and truly enjoy and explore the wonderful world of sailing.
He completed a degree in sustainability before he partook in a circumnavigation in 2013 as part of the Oyster World Rally. It was here that he fell in love with the Ocean and the way of life that it brings.
His sailing and charter experience includes a 6-month charter from Mallorca to Panama, deliveries between Rhode Island (USA) and South Hampton (UK) and Las Palmas (Spain) and the Caribbean, captain of a charter vessel throughout the summer of 2017 in Croatia, captain of a live aboard super yacht chase boat in the Caribbean from October 17 to May 18 and captain on various monohull and catamaran charters in Greece and Croatia over the summer of 2018 – a truly skilled captain and sailor.

Raphael can speak conversational French and has a keen passion for photography, originating from a summer placement with a photographer in 2012. He has a strong passion for scuba diving, freediving, hiking, and anything that brings a sense of adventure.

An easy and outgoing person, Raph will make any guest feel at home as they step aboard Knot Anchored.

Molly grew up moving around every 4 years (Toronto, Los Angeles, San Fransisco, Fairfield County, & Atlanta) until age 12 when she finally settled in Boston. It was at summer camp as a pre-teen in Maine that she fell in love with sailing. She went to sailing camp in the BVI at Sail Caribbean for three summers in high school where she learned to cook and sail 50ft yachts. After high school, she was the office manager at Sail Caribbean in Tortola and then went to College in Florida, majoring in Critical Media and Cultural studies with a minor in film.
After she graduated with her bachelor's degree, she lived in NYC for 6 years working mostly in entertainment, including over 4 years as the assistant to LuAnn on the Real Housewives of NYC. In 2016, she decided to go back into the yachting world to be a yacht chef and has done over 35 charters in Europe and the Caribbean since! She even moved to LA for a year and was the assistant and chef to Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann.

Now, she is excited to be back in her favorite place in the world doing what she loves!
Be assured that you will have a vacation of a lifetime filled with breathtaking experiences and amazing cuisine with Raph and Molly!!

****NEW CREW IMMINENT - APRIL 17TH, 2019 ****

Benjamin Dalton and Hannah O'Connor

Benjamin (Benny) has been sailing since his teens when he started dingy sailing. This passion then grew further through dingy racing in Australia where he lived with his family for several years. His family owned a 35ft monohull on which Benny and his family spent most weekends and holidays sailing and refurbishing the boat. This early introduction to the boating life style had him hooked. Sailing has taken Benny around the world from working aboard a day charter vessel exploring the islands around Moreton Bay area in Australia to sailing through the Norwegian fjords and returning the 72ft boat back to the UK via the North Sea. This was both challenging and enjoyable! He has also captained charter vessels throughout the summer seasons in Croatia, Greece and BVI, on various monohulls and catamarans, sharing his knowledge and passion with guests. Benny enjoys the outdoors and is an experienced free diver and ice hockey player, he also enjoys horse riding after his family spent a few years in Egypt where he was able to horse ride regularly.

Hannah has lived and travelled abroad for the last 10 years, exploring Europe, Asia, Australia and North America; Most recently living between Japan and Greece. Hannah is a ski instructor in the winter season which is another great passion of hers, she enjoys being able to travel and work to see the world.
Her first time working onboard a vessel was working as a dive master on a 36m catamaran on the Great Barrier Reef. Since then, through diving she has explored the far North Coral Sea and out to Osprey Reef.
She has been cooking professionally on charter yachts since 2016 in Croatia, Greece, BVI and France. She has a passion for fresh and delicious produce and loves sharing her love of food with her guests. Through her experience she learned early on, the importance of attention to detail and seamless delivery.

Captain Benny and Hannah are an active and enthusiastic crew who deliver a wonderful experience just for you. Be it relaxing with a cocktail and a good book on a sunset sail or snorkeling in isolated crystal-clear water, this crew know how to make your vacation truly unforgettable.

Hannahhh!! You were super awesome. I am pretty sure she made the best food out of all the chefs. She was willing to do anything to make sure we had what we needed the whole time. She was on top of her game and we loved her!

Ben was awesome with the boat, got everyone involved and is fundamentally a glorious man. Has he been steering the Titanic there’s not a chance it would have sunk – just saying 

Food was great! Hannah was attentive, helpful, and best of all an amazing cook! She is absolutely the best.

Benny was amazing! He took the best care of us and became part of the family. I could not have asked for a better captain.
