First Mate Kris Goodner
Ahoy! My name is Kris Goodner and I happily joined the crew of M/Y IL CAPO as the first mate on April 1st, 2018. Born and raised a South Florida native growing up on the east coast, I fell in love with the ocean at a young age. I’m an avid surfer, spearfisherman, and treasure diver. At 31 years young I’ve spent most of my adult years making a living under water. My experience in the Historic ship wreck salvage industry has taken me on many adventures around Florida¸ the Caribbean, and Central America. That’s right, shipwrecks! There are so many to explore it’s only a matter of time before you and I find that pirate’s booty! I have 12 years of experience working on boats and I’m very excited to share my knowledge of the ocean and love for the outdoors with our guest on IL CAPO

Angela Brown: Caribbean Flavors on Deck!
Whether she’s grilling freshly caught mahi or slicing a tree ripened mango, Chef Angela Brown has a keen understanding of how to make the flavors of the Caribbean shine.
While growing up on the east coast of North Carolina, she nurtured an affinity for the sea and marine life. After earning a degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, she pursued her love of travel, food, and the Caribbean, honing her culinary skills working as a sous chef and apprenticing with seaside chefs. Mallorca, Grenada, St. Thomas, St John, Puerto Rico and the Bahamas became her culinary ports of call and while there Angela cooked and ate with the locals to gain a deeper expertise and understanding of the regions and ingredients.
Now with more than 8 years of experience as a custom charter chef in the Caribbean, Angela knows how to source and prepare the finest of the Caribbean’s cornerstone ingredients—mahi, grouper, conch, spiny lobster, wahoo, snapper and more. She knows her well-traveled guests love these local tropical flavors while on vacation and she loves to prepare them each day!
Her favorite go to dish to wow her guests? Rockfish Piccata because its elegant, light, fresh and has a wonderful flavor. As our chef, she looks forward to preparing and serving and array of Caribbean flavors for our guests abourd MY Il Capo.
Thats Awesome. You made me hungry...
