Crew Profile

Doug began his career in the hospitality business, working for the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort as an assistant mountaineering supervisor for ski patrol. In the summer he ran his own business, guiding fly-fishing trips throughout the western rivers. Doug became passionate towards the need for Search and Rescue in the community and became the Teton County Search and Rescue Coordinator. Doug would spend his time off sailing in the Bahamas. He was part owner of a few different sailboats since 2001.
Sue was in the IT industry and spent most of her career in the corporate world in NYC. With a love for the outdoors and the pursuit for a better quality of life, Sue to moved to Jackson, WY. Throughout her life, Sue always found a way to dabble in sailing, cruising in Cape Cod, MA and parts of the Caribbean.

Sue and Doug met in Jackson when they discovered their common interest in sailing. After years of enjoying the mountains of Jackson Hole together, they decided to leave the frost behind in exchange for ocean breezes. They took a job managing a fly fishing lodge in S. Andros, Bahamas. To really live the dream, they bought a sailboat to commute back and forth from the US during off-season, and would spend a month or more cruising the Bahamas. They were passionate about the beautiful waters of the Bahamas and spent a lot of time diving and snorkelling especially the many blue holes of S. Andros. They both obtained their NAUI dive master certifications while they were there. Sue also had the pleasure of working with a professionally trained chef while at the lodge and learned how to be proficient in preparing culinary creations using local fare and produce.

While they were in the Bahamas, they realized they could combine their passions of entertaining, fishing and sailing and pursued a career chartering sailboats. They chartered in St. Maarten, St. Barts and Anguilla and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

As a team they are excited to bring their passion for sailing, fishing and adventure to and promise you a wonderful week on-board.
