CAPTAIN: Garry Hartshorne
Garry Hartshorne grew up in Cairns, Australia within a passionate yachting family. By the age of 20 he had 100,000 sea miles under his belt including a circumnavigation of the world. He naturally continued to live the seafaring life, spending several years in the Royal Australian Navy serving on Oceanic Survey vessels and a Guided Missile Frigate. Garry then moved into commercial shipping and dive charter boats on the Great Barrier Reef. In 1990 Garry found his way into the Super Yacht industry and has since cruised the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Bahamas, North and Central America and the South Pacific. Garry welcomes you on board Dona Lola and is looking forward to ensuring your time is spent safely and enjoyably. Please ask him for anything you may require.

CHIEF STEWARDESS: Sarah Williams
Sarah was born in London though moved to Sydney Australia when she was 6 years old. A desire to see the world lead Sarah to sailing from Argentina to the British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean, where she discovered a love of sailing, scuba diving and the ocean. She was introduced to professional yachting in the Caribbean where she worked in the demanding charter yacht industry. Sarah has spent the past 13 years working on yachts where she has cemented her hospitality knowledge and furthered her diving qualifications. Sarah hopes you enjoy your time onboard, feel free to ask for anything you need.

CHEF ADRIAN TATLOCK
Born in Colwin Bay, United Kingdom, February 27. Adrian was trained in the classic French manner, but due to his travel experience he now has a global culinary perspective. Adrian has been in the yachting industry for over 15 years and has catered to a wide variety of guests, from politicians to Hollywood celebrities. Your taste buds are in for a real treat, so sit back, relax and know that your culinary experience onboard Dona Lola will be exquisite.

CHIEF MATE: Susan Schlieve
Despite being born in the middle of the U.S. Susan (aka Susie Sunshine found her way to the ocean and has never looked back. She moved to Catalina Island in California where she taught marine science and Scuba diving to children and fell in love with ocean life. Her love of wanderlust led her to travel to warm tropical locations teaching diving, until 8 years ago when she wound up not only back in the U.S. but also on Dona Lola! For the last 8 years she has worked on a few other vessels amongst taking time out to travel and spend time with family and friends. She enjoys sharing her love of the marine world with others, as well as taking underwater pictures and videos, surfing, kite boarding and dancing.

ENGINEER: Peter Hill
Pete was raised in a small country town with The Great Barrier Reef and coastal rivers as his backyard. An avid fisherman, snorkeler and diver from a very early age. Pete enjoyed all aspects of the ocean. Pete entered the engineering sector initially as an aircraft engineer with a particular focus on helicopters. He moved to the Caribbean 8 years ago where he discovered the yachting industry and began his career on yachts. This has allowed him to combine his love of the ocean with his engineering skills. Pete hopes everyone enjoys their time onboard M/Y Dona Lola. Feel free to ask him for any assistance at anytime.

DECKHAND: Matthew Joubert
Matt was born in the Free State of South Africa. Matt's younger years were spent fishing, boating and swimming in the Vaal river. After completing his studies in sports science at Stellenbosch University Matt followed his love of water and sports. After spending many years as a dive instructor amongst the underwater delights of Mozambique, Matt then discovered the joys of yachting. Matt is an extremely competent waterman and is more than happy to introduce you to whatever water activity you wish to explore.

Nicola grew up on and around boats in the city of sails, Auckland, New Zealand. Whilst studying at University she worked in childcare and customer service. Additionally, with a love for people and travel, she spent a combined 7 months volunteering in Ghana and Vietnam. After leaving University at the end of 2014, Nicola was ready to take on a new challenge and excited to turn her love for travel and the ocean into a career. Nicola is thrilled to be a part of the MY Dona Lola crew and always happy to ensure that guests have a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
