The BVI (British Virgin Islands) are by far one of the most popular yacht charter destinations in the world! Here you will find temperate weather, islands with their own unique offerings, gorgeous blue water typical in the Caribbean and wonderful people and culture. There is so much to do and see whether you stay aboard your yacht, or you decide to explore the towns and villages. Here we will break down some of the major islands so you can get a taste of the area!

Tortola is where you will find great diversity. It’s home to the airport which serves all of the BVI. Additionally, it’s the main port of entry for yacht charters and other boats. It’s mountainous and green – the highest peak of all the BVI is here and there’s a lot of exploring and hiking that can be done in the parkland surrounding the peak. Of course you will also find charming and colorful homes here as well, along with restaurants, shops and beaches.

Virgin Gorda

Virgin Gorda is probably best known for the Baths where sea pools and grottoes have been formed by large boulders on the south end of the island. There are also gorgeous white sand beaches to enjoy! It’s a favorite spot for many to visit. This island also attracts those who love water sports – whether it’s sailing, snorkeling, kite boarding, wind surfing, kayaking and more!

Jost Van Dyke

When most people think of Jost Van Dyke they think of sailing. It’s a far less populated island, yet remains a fan favorite. One gorgeous white sand beach, a world-famous beach bar, some fantastic snorkeling and fewer people are just a few of the reasons people keep JVD on their list and return year after year!

Wherever you choose to spend your time in the BVI, you are sure to have an amazing time. Of course, we are always here to help you put together an amazing itinerary. Our charters are never pre-planned for you, giving you ultimate flexibility to spend time exactly where you want to! Contact us today to learn more!
